We would like to thank everyone who attended the 6th Annual Marjaan Basketball Tournament. Alhumdillah, we had a great turnout. We had a total of 28 teams compete, 100+ spectators and about 30 volunteers equating to approximately 400 people attending MBT 2013. The tournament was held on Saturday June 8th, 2013 at Emory PE Woodruff Center. Overall, the tournament was a great success from the will of Allah and through the contributions of the volunteers, sponsors, partners and competitors attending the event. We want to thank all of you for making this the best Marjaan Basketball Tournament thus far!
The tournament comprised of preliminary rounds, lunch, prayer, spiritual talk and playoffs. The spiritual talk was offered by Qasim Mazhar – a youth speaker from YM. He spoke about Allah’s forgiveness, importance of being around good company and how to tread the middle path when practicing Islam.
